The Boards Decision
Bis318 - The board of directors had a very tough decision to make. I believe that I would have made the same exact decision though because it turned out to be nothing but positive. September eleventh really impacted many people’s lives, even if they were not in New York City the day the terrorist attack occurred. By being affected in such a negative way, people need help. Whether it is monetary because a loved one was lost in the attack, or just mentally because one does not know how to cope with the disaster, it all helps out for a more positive outcome. The organizational infrastructure and culture effect my decision by feeling as if this organization is more than just an organization to me. Because I saw what the terrorist attack did on 9-11, I not only saw what the families and friends went through who knew someone in the towers, but with this organization, I can see light at the end of the tunnel. This is why I would have chose the same decision as the board of directors because the outcomes can only turn up from servicing more and more people. Bis 318
Main Problems
Bshs373 - I think the main problems that Magnolia suffered in the beginning was for starters, it was not a well known company. Not many people knew of the organization, therefore they were skeptical if they did hear of it or had no idea it existed. With only six employees, the company clearly did not have their name out there for people to see. Six people can only do so much, therefore this was a major issue as to why Magnolia did not succeed as they would have liked to in the beginning. The only was they started earning customers and even more employees was when September eleventh occurred. Once this tragedy happened, people would take whatever help they could, and with this being said, Magnolia got their start. Bshs 373
